Class 1 Commercial Drivers

Crop Management Logistics Inc., is an integrated trucking company of Crop Management Network Inc. (CMN). They provide safe and reliable transportation, of liquid and dry fertilizer, to our retail locations and CMN clients. Our retails are located in Central, AB however, the radius of travel may include travel to the US and other out of province locations when required.

The successful candidate will have:
• A valid Class 1 license; with a clean abstract
• Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, managers and safety.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date log books using our EDL program.
• Perform Inspections and safety checks.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Proven experience with driving applicable trucks and trailers.
• Handles all physical requirements for loading, transporting and driving.
• Knowledge and understanding of basic truck maintenance.
• Willingness to comply with all Health, Safety Environmental regulations.

Seasonal Adminsistrative Assistant

Crop Management Network Inc. (CMN) is Alberta’s largest independent, full service ag retail. CMN provides quality crop input products, progressive solutions and valued services that contribute to higher crop yields and the sustainability of agriculture.
Working in a face paced setting, the Adminsistrative Assistant ensures the smooth operation of the daily office activites. With a high level of dedicated customer service they greet our customers and work with the CMN team to support the demand of our busy season.

Responsibilities:
• Greet and direct customers appropriately
• Collect customer payments
• Data entry
• Enter loadout tickets
• Daily inventory counts
• General duties: answer phones, filing, tidy office, maintain office supplies

Experience:
• Ability to multi-task, complete work timely and accurately, in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous accounting/administrative background an asset
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and people skills, both written and oral
• Proven strong computer skills including all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence

Account Manager

The Account Managers at CMN have a strong focus on providing reliable advice, products, valued services and innovative methods, of improving and sustaining their customers farm business. They recommend and sell high-quality products, while highlighting those products and services we offer to our customers, that differentiate us from our competitors. Account Managers contribute to the overall growth the business by being innovative in practice and driven to find ways to best serve our customers.

General Duties:
• Strive to maximize on our ability to obtain/sustain customers business, within profit margin.
• Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes
• Coordinate sales effort with team members and the General Manager, to ensure adequate inventory and administratively everything is effectively handled.
• Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
• Work within a marketing/sales budget to promote the business, inform our growers, develop/maintain relationships and maintain a presence within our community.
• Develop and maintain effective business relations with current and potential future customers.
• Work with and advise farmers on cropping practices that will improve their economic returns as well as protect environmental sustainability.
• Provide assistance in crop production, planning, and forecasting.
• Inform management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Remain current with trends in the marketplace and within the ag industry.

Experience:
• A preferred minimum 3-5 years sales experience Ag based degree or diploma or demonstrated experience in vocational, agriculture. A combination of education and work experience will be considered
• Work independently and as a member of a highly motivated team
• Proven strong time management, planning and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to provide a strong focus on customer service and follow through
• Driven to meet aggressive sales targets

Facility Operator
CMN Facility, Maintenance and Environmental Team

The Facility, Maintenance and Environmental (FM&E) Team at Crop Management Network Inc. delivers the highest quality of service to our customers, by ensuring our equipment, facilities, and warehouse are running as efficiently as possible. The Facility Operators are responsible to provide updates on inventory levels; maintain equipment; assist with the receipt of product to the warehouse; assist customer pick-up/internal transfers of product. They also ensure the facility is keep clean and free of hazards; and follow Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures.
This position is an essential component of our year-around operations and reflect on our commitment to deliver the best in class service and solutions to our customers.

Job Description:
• Ensure the yard, equipment and any buildings of CMN’s are keep clean and free of hazards. Work with General Manager on scheduling maintenance, audits and certifications of equipment/tanks/facilities.
• Work from general procedures and in accordance with standard or recognized methods of maintenance/repair.
• Responsible for general maintenance, cleanliness, and repairs of facilities and equipment.
• Prepare for incoming deliveries and/or scheduled pick up of product.
• Perform inventory control measures and focus on insuring the accurate tracking of incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Report any discrepancies in inventory, equipment or product to the General Manager.
• Safely and promptly receive/deliver product from delivery trucks; placing them properly and orderly in the warehouse and yard area.
• Perform frequent yard, tank, sheds, warehouse and equipment inspections and document findings to adhere to the Health & Safety Program.
• Ensure we are compliant and meet environmental and health and safety requirements.

The successful candidate will have:
• Demonstrated ability to work independently Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
• Must possess good interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
• Must be able to work in fast paced environment.
• Ability to do physical labour and other strenuous physical tasks.
• Workers must be punctual and reliable. • Ability to lift 50lbs
• Class 1 or 3 Drivers licence preferred; clean abstract

Seasonal Field Scout

Crop Management Network Inc. (CMN) is Alberta’s largest independent, full service ag retail. CMN provides quality crop input products, progressive solutions and valued services that contribute to higher crop yields and the sustainability of agriculture.
At CMN we are committed to provide students with the opportunity to put their education into practice. Partnering with our Account Managers, the Field Scout will scout our customers fields, work on trial plots, help plan CMN events and support the mission at CMN; to provide our customers with best in class service and solutions.

Duties:
• Regularly scout customers fields and record weed, insect, disease and other observations
• Work with Account Managers to analyse field observations and review product/service plan that aligns with the growers needs.
• Provide operational and customer support at the retail location
• Assist the CMN trial committee with field days and monitoring of the plots
• Adhere to all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures

Qualifications:
• Preferred students or graduates from university or college who are enrolled/completed agricultural programs, business programs or other education related to working in the agricultural industry.
• Ability to work in a face paced team environment
• Ensure a high level of customer service is given to all of our CMN customers
• Self-driven to coordinate daily activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible schedule and available to work Saturdays and overtime hours during busy seasons
• Valid class 5 driver's licence
