Account Manager

The Account Managers - Agronomists, (“Account Managers”) at CMN have a strong focus on providing reliable advice, products, valued services and innovative methods, of improving and sustaining their customers farm business. They recommend and sell high-quality products, while highlighting those products and services we offer to our customers, that differentiate us from our competitors. Account Managers contribute to the overall growth the business by being innovative in practice and driven to find ways to best serve each one of our customers. Along with dealing with our customers, as an Agronomist, they’re a valuable resource for our sales team. By being available to answer any agronomy questions, walk farmers’ fields, provide training/coaching, inform our Network on current trends, current issues/results, and identify and communicate any other information that is relevant to agronomy trends. Account Managers are required to follow all of Crop Management Network’s policies and procedures to ensure their practices align with the mission and vision of CMN. The Account Managers attend all CMN required training, meetings and events when requested. Most of their work is done onsite of the grower’s farm, over the phone and/or at a CMN site.

Position Details:
• Support local growers throughout the entire growing season by providing recommendations based on seed, chemical, and fertilizer products.
• Responsible for meeting annual sales goals and profit margin objectives.
• Develop and maintain effective business relations with current and potential future customers.
• Provide assistance in crop production, planning, and forecasting.
• Remain current with trends in the marketplace and within the ag industry.
• Assist with daily operations when required to safely and effectively serve our customers including, operating a forklift, blending and delivering product.

Qualifications:
• Proven strong time management, planning and multi-tasking skills.
• Driven to meet aggressive sales targets.
• Have a strong customer focused approach when it comes to serving customers.
• Excellent communication and people skills, both written and oral.
• Proven strong computer skills including all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Able to work independently.
• Conducts themselves in a professional manner, and able to keep information confidential.
• Proven knowledge of sales principles and practices.
• Ability to provide a strong focus on customer service and follow through.
• Ability to help others learn and resourceful in finding ways to educate staff when required.

Class 1 Commercial Drivers

Crop Management Logistics Inc., is an integrated trucking company of Crop Management Network Inc. (CMN). They provide safe and reliable transportation, of liquid and dry fertilizer, to our retail locations and CMN clients. Our retails are located in Central, AB however, the radius of travel may include travel to the US and other out of province locations when required.

The successful candidate will have:
• A valid Class 1 license; with a clean abstract
• Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, managers and safety.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date log books using our EDL program.
• Perform Inspections and safety checks.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Proven experience with driving applicable trucks and trailers.
• Handles all physical requirements for loading, transporting and driving.
• Knowledge and understanding of basic truck maintenance.
• Willingness to comply with all Health, Safety Environmental regulations.
