Camrose, Alberta, Sept 29, 2022.

The Crop Management Network (CMN) has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire the Meadowland Ag Chem Ltd. business operating in the Castor and Alliance communities.

CMN is excited for the opportunity to expand our reach into Castor and Alliance. These areas will complement CMN’s current footprint and will further utilize our strategic assets. This transaction will allow CMN to offer our full product and service offering into the Castor and Alliance areas which includes fertilizer, crop protection, seed and builds on the high level of service and agronomic expertise already offered.

“We are very pleased to come to this agreement with The Crop Management Network” stated Henry Michielsen. “They share our values, and we will be able to continue to bring a full line of seed and chemical to our customers. We are excited with the addition of a full-service fertilizer offering as we align this business within the Network,” stated Debbie Michielsen. Debbie and her team will remain in the business to ensure there is a seamless transition.

“Similar to CMN’s values, the Meadowland team places a high priority on agronomy, sustainability, and customer service. Bringing Debbie and her team into the CMN family is a great addition, and we thank the Michielsens for the opportunity” says James Mitchell, CEO of CMN. “The addition of the Meadowland assets and people give us the opportunity to further utilize our strategic rail assets, logistic services, and warehousing capabilities.”
